Campbell Hausfeld 1,500 PSI Electric Pressure Washer #PW1580 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I received this pressure washer as a gift July 2004 and used it for almost the whole summer. I mostly used it for washing our cars and the siding of our house. It worked relatively well and overall I was impressed with the fact that it was electric and easy to use.
The second summer I powered it on and water squirted out of the bottom of the unit. I could tell it wasn't maintaining water pressure as it wouldn't turn off the motor, which it should do if you aren't using it. I thought about first throwing it away, but then figured I could probably fix it myself. I opened the unit and found that the clip holding the detergent injector line was broken in half. I called the company and was told that opening the unit voided my warranty. I must say that I was surprised as I don't recall anything on the unit or in the manual saying that. I told her that I couldn't possibly know what part to order had I not opened it, and that the store (walmart) it was purchased from would do nothing for me. She said I'd need to order the full detergent injector kit, which would cost about $22 shipped and they do not have them in stock. So, now I'm left with a 11 month old pressure washer that doesn't work and no parts to fix it with. I'm not impressed with Campbell Hausfelds service at all. What company doesn't stock their own repair kits?
Keep in mind that the unit is pretty nice. I would have easily given it a better rating if it weren't for the poor service from the company. Upon inspection the clip is made from shoddy materials. Also, if you do need to replace it or the detergent kit you void your warranty! Off to the shop to have a friend fashion a new clip for me out of better materials. What a hassle!

Devilbiss/Excell replacement pressure washer hose Review

(More customer reviews)I burned my very stiff pressure hose under the sprayer and it now has a hole in it. DeVilbiss tells me they have no idea if they will ever have a replacement hose. The sprayer is a good one but very disappointing when trying to get replacement hose.

3600 PSI Pressure Washer 13 Hp Electric Start Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)If you buy this, be prepared for a few things:
1. Delivery takes a while and is usually shipped to a commercial address. Residential delivery costs more.
2. This machine is heavy, at about 150Lbs.
3. Be prepared to be blown over backwards from the pressure when you use it.
There are a couple of niggling points though.
1. The instructions could have been a little better. I looked around for a while to find the correct oil fill plug (I'm an Engineer, so it should have been easy)
2. After 2 weeks, the battery for the electric start is dead. I'm just starting discussion with the manufacturer on how to remedy this.
Overall though, if you are frustrated by the ineffectiveness of electric power washers, and need something powerful - you should give this a try.
