(More customer reviews)This is a great compressor. Not knowing much about the construction biz, I splurged to start work on my basement. Very good decision. Mostly agree with what others have said, but here are a few notes for those of you who are like me and DON'T do this stuff for a living:
1. The manual says 15 Amps, but its more like a hair above that. It will trip a 15 Amp circuit breaker if there is more than one appliance. It even tripped my 15 amp dedicated circuit for my sump pump. My only good performance came from plugging into my dedicated washing machine outlet which happened to be 20 Amps.
2. One of the tubes came disconnected out of the box. The copper one that pumps the air into the reservoir. Not a big deal, but it took me about 2 hrs to figure out that a gasket was NOT missing and that the tube connects through a "furrowing" ring (basically it self-tightens to hold the tube in place). Perhaps a quality control issue.
3. The cut-off pressure is not adjustable. Also not a big deal, but I don't need 120psi in the reservoir just to inflate by car tires to 35 psi or do some minor household stuff. (I definitely wouldn't want to buy a second compressor for that either.)
4. Aside from those minor inconveniences (hence the 4-stars), this is a very plug-and-playable compressor for the DIY homeowner. Strong enough to do that wall framing project but delicate enough to handle the trim finish work and inflate your car tires. I made the mistake of buying one of the pancake style compressors and found it a little weak for doing the basement framing.

(More customer reviews)I bought this to use with surebonder's 9615 upholstery staple gun to reupholster a bunch of chairs. it works great. i'm rather impressed. it is really tiny, easy to use and i'm surprised that it makes no mess of any kind. i sit right on my dinning table to use it. it was loud but not as loud as some reviews made it out to be. the trick is to use it on a piece of carpet. it also is not nearly as loud in a normal room of your house as it is if used in an empty room that has a hard floors and no furniture such as garage or cement basement.
my only gripe was that it took me several days to figure out why i couldn't connect it to the staple gun. it does not come with a male quick connector that is needed to attach the hose to power tools. i bought this at home depot for under $2.
i read many reviews that complained of it not working. after using it this month i can kind of understand why. it's not the compressor. if you have not used one before i will give you the short list of resons it won't work that all happened to me until i got used to using a compressor.
- there is a knob under it that lets it dry between uses. you must close it tightly before using it.
- you need to really, really tighten the hose onto the compressor before use.
- if you over oil your air tools or always leave them connected, the oil will seep into the male connector at end of hose and trap condensation. if this happens, you will need to wipe out the connector with a paper towel until it feels dry again.
- at the end of long work days you'll want to let it dry out. you should take the hose off and hang it so both ends hang down and open the drain knob underneath. I have found it to work super efficiently since i started to do this. now i don't need to keep running it to keep at 60 - 80 psi. although i do have to turn it on ever 10 or 20 minutes for about 30 seconds to keep the psi.

(More customer reviews)My main use has been for maintaining air pressure in vehicle tires (fairly light duty inflating). I have not yet used this product on other inflatables.
Electrical cord is a decent length and wraps around the base of the unit for storage (not shown in picture).
Filling hose is also of decent length and stores in a compartment - additional hose fittings are included. Altogether the unit is very compact and stores easily.
The air pressure gauge is some what accurate but I would only use it as an estimate - it is not detailed enough to determine the difference between say 42 and 44 psi. Obviously a quality tire gauge should be used.
Considering you're compressing air the unit is loud be not overly so. As can be expected it is not as fast as an air compressor found at gas stations.
Great value for the convenience - I can foresee it not being the choice for heavy duty inflation needs, however.
